I do a bit of artwork. I specialise in hand-drawn graphics and simple re-touch. Drop me a line to discuss your new project:  jess (at) jessmorgan.co.uk

Here are some things I’ve worked on over the last few years…

CD art for Sam Kelly & The Lost Boys (2017) I was thrilled when Sam asked me to come up with a CD package for his new album ‘Pretty Peggy.’ Sam wanted the design to centre around his favourite photo of the seven-strong band, taken by Rob Bridge. I used simple charcoal-pencil graphics and pencil shavings to compliment Rob’s picture.

Lyric poster for Jack Harris (2018) Jack writes beautiful lyrics. I was pleased to help him show them off a bit with a lyric poster. The poster was made double-sided, so that traditional ‘liner notes’ could feature on the reverse plus plenty of room for that big swirly signature.

Sarah (Bryde) wanted some Ts that encorperated her already much loved and well recognised hand-drawn logo. She liked my 90s fido-dido inspired Ts, so I used indian ink and a brush to work up something sketchy and energetic for her. (2017)

I love zines! Hold This I Need A Wee comprised written and graphic work contributed by all my favourite musician friends including Jack Harris, Harry Harris, Chris T-T, Bryde, Stylusboy and more… It was such a fun project.

Extra Safe is a newer project and features work by UEA Students on the MA Creative Writing course. I do the layouts and the gentle nudges.

Wedding Invite. Lorraine and Will got married by the sea and wanted a sketch of themselves with their dog Ian to help them tell the world.

This was the first piece of work I took on besides my own CD covers. Stu and Debs Hanna of Megson made a new album and asked me to design up a simple cover. The box design is a collage I made borrowing textures from various lino-cut pictures I had hanging around in folders and boxes. The collage continues through the booklet and onto the back cover. (2014).
